Product Description

Automated external defibrillator

The ZOLL AED 3 is an automated external defibrillator (AED) that guides first responders through cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The device provides audible and visual guidance throughout the resuscitation and additionally gives feedback on the quality of chest compressions.

Real CPR Help: feedback on chest compressions

The AED 3 sets a pace of 105 ± 2 compressions per minute and measures the compression depth with each compression. Voice prompts indicate whether the compressions are adequate, so that the rescuer can adjust immediately.

Use on children

The child button switches the device to paediatric use; no additional electrodes are required. The energy delivered is adjusted automatically. Because of the lower compression depth, the AED 3 does not give feedback on compression depth in children, but continues to provide an audible pace for the compressions.
